Electromechanic

As an Electromechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, preventive maintenance, and repair of the company’s mechanical and electrical equipment, mainly focused on the carrot and onion packaging lines. You will work directly on production machinery to diagnose breakdowns, optimize performance, and ensure a continuous production flow. This role requires strong electromechanical expertise and the ability to respond quickly to minimize production downtime.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues or malfunctions on production equipment
  • Assist with the installation of new packaging equipment and configure it according to technical specifications and production standards
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance
  • Train and advise production operators on proper equipment usage and initial troubleshooting steps
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality standards in the packaging production environment, particularly regarding interventions on moving machinery
  • Participate in continuous improvement of maintenance processes by suggesting technical solutions and implementing initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools needed for maintenance interventions
  • Keep technical documentation and intervention reports up to date

 

Your Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Holder of a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in Electromechanics
  • Experience in industrial maintenance (an asset)
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of packaging lines (an asset)
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to unexpected issues
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with production teams
  • Organizational skills, diligence, and attention to detail in technical interventions
  • Proficiency in French, spoken and written
  • Knowledge of English, spoken and written (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Spanish, spoken (an asset)
