To support the launch of our new carrot washing line, we are looking for a Production Operator to operate, adjust, and maintain the optical sorter on the washing line. The operator will be responsible for ensuring product quality, optimizing machine performance, and complying with safety and food hygiene standards.

Main responsibilities:

• Start, stop, and operate the optical sorter according to established procedures
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient sorting (quality, sizing, color, defects, etc.)
• Continuously monitor the carrot flow on the line and adjust parameters to maintain quality and performance
• Identify and report any mechanical, electrical, or software issues to the maintenance team
• Perform basic equipment maintenance (cleaning, visual inspections, simple part replacements)
• Complete production reports and track rejects and losses
• Apply and follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards
• Collaborate with other operators and the supervisor to ensure optimal production flow

Your skills and qualifications:

• Experience in food production, industrial, or manufacturing environments
• Knowledge or experience with optical sorters or similar equipment (an asset)
• Strong observation skills, quick response time, and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of computers and mechanics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
