Due to our growing operations, we are looking for a Local Transportation Coordinator to plan and monitor pick-ups from our local suppliers, ensuring smooth and timely supply to our processing facilities and sales operations. This role works closely with our purchasing, production, and transportation teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan raw material pick-ups from suppliers based on purchase orders
- Coordinate driver schedules and routes (pick-ups)
- Communicate with drivers and suppliers to manage unforeseen issues
- Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and production teams
- Maintain transportation records and route logs
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics or transportation coordination, ideally in an agri-food or agricultural setting
- Strong organizational, planning, and priority management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Comfortable with digital tools and software
- Knowledge of the local area and rural transportation realities (an asset)
- Occasional availability outside regular hours to handle urgent situations
