As part of our growth, we are looking for a Credit and Collections Agent to play a key role in managing customer risk and optimizing our cash flow. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the financial performance of a dynamic company.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing customer creditworthiness based on financial data, payment history, and references
• Recommending credit limits and payment terms based on risk levels
• Monitoring customer portfolio risks and suggesting adjustments
• Following up on customer accounts and collecting overdue payments
• Negotiating payment arrangements with customers when needed
• Preparing reports on receivables, credit risks, and collection actions
• Updating customer records and using credit and collection management tools
• Suggesting improvements to credit and collection policies and procedures
• Participating in team training on best practices in credit management
• Managing the credit insurance policy and working with the insurer on claims
• Analyzing coverage offered by the insurance policy and participating in negotiations to optimize terms

Your skills and qualifications:

• Degree in finance, accounting, or business management
• Previous experience in a similar role (credit officer, collections, or risk management)
• Knowledge of credit and collection management tools (specialized software, ERP, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong sense of priorities
• Proficiency in English (an asset)
