Director of Sales

Working at FMS Fresh Produce is about more than growing vegetables — it’s about growing innovation, agility, and collaboration in a warm and stimulating environment. As a fast-growing family business, we are a key player in Quebec’s vegetable farming sector. With full vertical integration — from cultivation to packaging and distribution — and the support of cutting-edge technologies, we are building a sustainable agriculture model focused on the future.

We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead the team responsible for account management and commercial development. This role requires a deep understanding of a perishable environment where product prices, volumes, quality levels, and specifications change constantly, along with structured, analytical, and collaborative leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mobilizing, and developing the account management team.
  • Deploying the sales strategy according to market conditions and operational realities.
  • Overseeing relationships with key clients and stepping in on strategic files.
  • Ensuring the analysis of margins, risks, forecasts, and market trends.
  • Maintaining constant alignment between commercial commitments and operational capacity (purchasing, quality, logistics, operations).
  • Contributing to the optimization of processes, tools, and work methods to support growth and informed decision‑making.
  • Promoting proactive communication and fostering a culture of internal collaboration.

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Strong analytical abilities (margins, risks, scenarios, volatility, market dynamics).
  • Collaborative, structured, mobilizing leadership with clear communication skills.
  • Ease working in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Experience in team management and commercial leadership.
  • Experience with perishable products, volatile raw materials, or food distribution (major asset).
  • Excellent ability to balance commercial development, margin protection, and operational realities.
  • Strong ability to structure, organize, document, and improve processes.
  • DEC or bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, logistics, agrifood or a related field.

What we offer:

  • A dynamic, people-focused, and fast-growing work environment
  • A comprehensive group insurance plan, including dental coverage, with 50% paid by the employer
  • A modern and friendly countryside setting, far from traffic
  • Company-organized social activities
  • Opportunities for learning and development
